When the Parents are Away, the Children will Play!!

My parents left yesterday to Mexico so I have the house to myself for a WHOLE month!!  WHOOP!!  I am so excited about this.  After living away and alone from my parents for four years while at A&M, I got use to not being here.  Then after graduating and moving in, it’s been totally different.  It’s just weird having my mom do things for me like cooking, cleaning, and doing my laundry.  I’m just not use to it.  It’s that I like my privacy, my alone time.  I like having the option to walk around naked or pee with the door open when no one is home.  I know these things sound funny but I know people out there do them.  I can’t be alone on that.  Finally, I can do them again.

I attempted to take care of my speeding ticket today.  It was the productive single effort I did today.  You have to spread things out when you don’t have much to do.  Anyways, I talked to the front officer as I walked into the office because I was confused about the paperwork I had to do for defensive driving.  He asked to see the ticket and said it was a “chicken shit” ticket because I was only going 12 miles over the speed limit.  He was super nice.  After looking at the ticket, he said I could fight it by asking to see the judge on my court date because the officer didn’t write my license plate correctly.  My plate has 6 characters but the officer wrote down 7 because he put something for a space.  It’s something small but it could get me off the hook.  What’s the worst that can happen?  The judge says no, and I still have to pay.  Whatev, it’s worth the effort.

On the Lush front, I’ve been using the Angels On Bare Skin and Gorgeous skin moisturizer for about a week now and my skin feels great.  I am in love with Lush.  I think I am on my to be a Lushie!!  HAHA

And the New Job Begins

I finally got a job.  Whoop!!  It’s only part time but at this point, I really don’t care, it’s something and that’s better than nothing, especially since I’m broke and have to pay a stupid parking ticket since the cops in San Antonio don’t have real criminals to catch.  I work for Lush.  It’s a cosmetic company that doesn’t actually sell makeup.  They make all natural soaps, shampoos, conditions, body creams, bath bubbles, facial soaps, bath bombs, etc.  It’s a great company.  They are against animal testing, use all natural ingredients, and are about going green.

Today was my first day of training.  It was pretty fun just looking and trying a lot of the products.  In the end, I think I got about $75 worth of products to go home with and try.  Who wouldn’t love that!?!  I just finished talking a bath with the Comforter bubble bar, the Joy of Jelly soap, the Godiva solid shampoo bar, and Buffy body butter.  Afterwards, I used Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar to sooth my legs from my run earlier.  Overall, I smell AMAZING!!  I loved The Conforter.  It made the water a purple/pink color with a bunch of small little bubbles.  The Joy of Jelly was a bit strange at first.  I was actually scared to use it because of it’s jelly texture.  What you do is just take a bit off the bit piece, put it in your sponge, work it in until it lathers and use.  It was a bit hard to work it in because of the two different consistancies of the jelly but it had a great floral scent.  The Godiva solid shampoo bar was a new experience as well.  It’s solid shampoo, what a weird concept from the usual.  It is very easy to use though.  All you do is rub the bar into your hair about 5 times, as you might with a normal bar of soap.  I did it about 5 times and I was able to work a good amount of lather.  The smell is prodomitatly jasmine.  It left my hair smelling great and super soft.  The bar actually has chunck of cocoa butter to add conditioner to your hair.  It’s perfect for traveling.  The small size is super convient.  Finally, Buffy is a great way to end a shower/bath.  It’s a body butter which is the same as a conditioner for your body.  So as I was ready to be done, I went my Buffy bar and rubbed it on the roughest part of my body and my thighs.  The almond and seeds in the bar act as a natural exfoliant while the copius amounts of cacao butter leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.  It is suppose to help fight cellulite.  We’ll see about that.  The residue/exfoliants were just rinsed off.  Finally, the massage bar.  My personal favorite.  I chose the Wiccy bar because of the fact that I like to workout and generally have a new ache or pain every day.  The massage bar are made from a high intensity of butters and essential oils used to make you feel better, smell delicious, and moisturize.  I held the bar and massaged it into my hands to melt the butters and oils to liberality apply to my skin.  The Wiccy is a mixture of peppermint oil and cinnamon to sooth the aches and pains one might have.  I loved it!!  So did Bailey since she licked all of it off my legs.
